Welcome to my blog.

Who I am:
My name is Jennifer and I live and work in Germany. Most of my posts will be in English though because I feel I can express myself more accurately in English. Don’t know why, maybe it is because I am addicted to English literature  (such as Shakespeare) and I never ever watch movies dubbed. If I can avoid it, I will.  I love stories and I love language.

What I do:
In my work as a photographer that is also what I am looking for. The stories. The language in this case is the imagery, the color, the cropping.

I love film photography and am especially proud of my Hasselblad 500 C/M.

I also write. And hopefully one day I’ll be able to publish a book. I’ve studied literature and linguistics for a reason and the reason is, I am addicted to stories.

What this blog is about:
I’ll show you examples of photoshoots, projects, ideas, and probably myself.

You can also find recent book reviews in the sidebar.

I have a Facebook page that I currently neglect.

Talk to me?
If you have any questions, suggestion, or anything else, go ahead and drop me a line.

If you are looking for my portfolio, you can have a look at my Homepage: Jennifer Renner Photography. Don’t worry, it is available in English and German. Or you go to the About Me page and find all the links in one place, including where to buy books or prints.

Enjoy your stay.

  1. I am in the process of booking a wedding for next summer in Germany, I recently visited Limburg & I am quite interested in the location, I wanted to see if you can semd me some additional samples of your work at the site.

  2. I find it interesting that you feel like you can express yourself more accurately in English. I feel like English is a difficult language to master, but once one learns it there’s lots of room for customization. There’s lots of ways to say the same thing, which means you can alter the feel of your communications without changing the meaning.

Of course as a native English speaker I’m probably biased, even though my favorite language is Spanish.

    • The thing is, I can also communicate with more people. If I were to go on in German, less people would know what I say. I love both languages equally, but english certainly has its advantages (and isn’t that difficult, compare to e.g. French I think *g*)
